Every year, on Sunday, the 14th of July, one of the most captivating annual music festivals, the Pop Punk Summer Camp, will take place at the Pepsi Amphitheater in Flagstaff. The main act will be The Maine supported by beloved favorites such as Mayday Parade and The Wonder Years. After the formation of the band in 2007; The Maine has become one of the most important musical exports from Phoenix, Arizona that plays the essence of music in blends of the genres of Rock, Punk, and pop genres. They are famous for their emo pop genre and 90s alternative rock and continue to innovate, their last album was self-titled in 2023.
When asked, Mr. Garrett Nickelsen, who has been a part of Maine as a bassist since their formation, expressed his excitement. “This will be our first time performing at the Pepsi Amphitheater, and since the show is just minutes away from my home I will be able to have friends and family attend,” he added. Some of these songs would be expected from their new album as Garrett was quick to add, “We love playing new stuff, so we’ll include as much as we can without it feeling too self-indulgent.” He also manifested that the band never runs out of ideas and that what they have done is always continuously changing and developing.
